Hotfix - Autodesk 3ds Max 2009 - 2008.04.11

 The ProMaterials libraries included within Autodesk 3ds Max and 3ds Max Design 2009 were compiled for SSE2 compatible and newer processors.
Some Athlon processors that are within the minimum system requirements for use with 3ds Max 2009 are not SSE2 compatible and the affected libraries have been fixed to work on these systems.
You must be logged in to the system as an administrator in order to install the Autodesk 3ds Max 2009 Hotfix 2008.04.11.
Installing Autodesk 3ds Max 2009 Hotfix 2008.04.11
- Download the file: 32-bit Operating System: 3dsMax2009_32-bit_HotFix_20080411.msp/li>
- Double-Click the .msp file to launch the installer/li>
- Click "Next" when prompted/li>
- Click "Finish" once completed
Uninstalling the Hotfix:
XP
- Double-click the "Add or Remove Programs" icon found within Start > Settings > Control Panel
- Check the "Show Upgrades" option in the top section
- Locate 3ds Max 2009 Hotfix 2008.04.11 and select it
- Click on "Remove".
Vista
- Open "Programs and Features" found within Start > Control Panel
- Click on "View installed updates"
- Locate 3ds Max 2009 Hotfix 2008.04.11 and select it
- Click on "Uninstall".
This patch can be applied to Autodesk 3ds Max 2009 only. The install program will not install over any other version. (Example: Autodesk 3ds Max 2008). The Autodesk 3ds Max 2009 Hotfix should be installed on all network rendering servers running Autodesk 3ds Max 2009.
