SketchUp is software you can use to build 3D models of anything: your house, killer robots, furniture, trees, abstract art — anything. Architects and engineers use it to design buildings and other structures. Woodworkers use it to plan their projects. And lots of people use it to figure out where to put their furniture. SketchUp is easy to learn, it comes in free and Pro versions, and it's more fun than a houseful of clowns. Oh, and you can use it to build models for Google Earth, too.

 SMD Importer v0.1a enables 3D Studio Max versions 9, 2008 and 2009 to import SMD files from Valve games. It was inspired by the work of Cannonfodder who did similar work for 3DS Max versions 5 thru 7.
Plug-in Options: import mesh, rebuild smoothing normals, import materials, import bones, use dummy for orphan bones, use dummy for end bones, attach mesh to bones, convert from left handed co-ordinate space.

Для моделирования, рендеринга, создания текстур и анимации автор использовал программы: XSI, рендер Vray, Photoshop, 3D Studio Max. Для композитинга использовалась программа After FX.

 EdgyBend and DeFocus recompiled for 3ds max 2008 and 2009.
Render effect DeFocus simulates camera defocus. Allows you to set different iris shapes and increase light flares. Quite usefull when you want to blur background to get nice DOF effect.
Modifier EdgyBend - very similar to standard Bend modifier. The difference is that it bends objects while keeping straight sections.

 Monsters vs. Aliens is an upcoming 3D feature sci-fi animated movie produced by DreamWorks Animation. The movie is slated for a release in March 2009.
