Indigo v0.9 Stable Released. Indigo is a free, actively developed, physically-based unbiased render engine.
Employing advanced features such as Metropolis Light Transport, Spectral light calculus, a virtual camera model, physical sky and more, Indigo can achieve much more realistic results than traditional GI raytracers.
Indigo does not need any render parameters like GI samples, AO samples, AA samples, Soft shadows, etc, and complicated lightning setups to achieve realistic results.
Indigo is free for non- and commercial use, but as of writing is not open-source.

Autodesk, Inc. has completed the acquisition of substantially all the assets of Skymatter Limited, the New Zealand-based, privately held developer of Mudbox 3D modeling software. On August 6, 2007, Autodesk announced an agreement to purchase
Skymatter’s assets. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. This acquisition expands Autodesk’s offering for the film, television and game market segments, while providing additional growth opportunities for other design disciplines, such as 3D automotive and
industrial design. Mudbox has shaped photorealistic creatures for the blockbuster film King Kong, as well
as upcoming films The Golden Compass, Fred Claus and Inkheart.

The picture was made as a school project this spring at "Nackademin Digital Graphics" in Stockholm. It was not only our first individual project but also the first where we could choose subject ourselves. So I decided to do something fun, a troll. At this time I had only studied 3D for about ten months so there was heaps of stuff I didn't know.
